These things, I warmly wish for you-

Someone to love, some work to do,

A bit of o' sun, a bit o' cheer.

And a guardian angel always near.

THE SEVEN ARCHANGELS
Poem by St. Nicholai of Zicha

Seven golden heads of heavenly limits,

Seven archangels, the highest spirits:
Michael, the sword for adversaries, ruler of angels all,
To enemies of God his sword brings the bitter downfall,
Gabriel, the herald of God's incarnation
And all wondrous recorder of human salvation.
Raphael, like a sun, servant of One God in Three;
Miraculaous healer, from our illnesses he sets us free;
Uriel is the radiant light of God,
The enlightener of man's mind most flawed,
Selathiel, the intercessor, sweetest scent,
By his prayers our prayers to Lord ascend,
Jegudiel, glorifier of our Lord full of love,
He leads us all to glorify the God above,
Barachiel, dispenser of the blessing of skies,
Brining us what we need form God, hearing our cries.

Holy Archangel Barachiel
Barachiel (blessed by God) is one of the seven Archangels in Eastern Orthodox tradition. In iconography Barachiel is sometimes shown holding a white rose against the chest, or with rose petals scattered on the clothing particularly the cloak. The scattering of rose petals was to symbolize or represent God's sweet blessings showering down on people. In Roman Catholicism, Barachiel is depicted holding a bread basket or a staff, both of which symbolize the blessings of children that God bestows on parents.
